Hello Lovelies!
I’m Kiera, a 22-year-old language student, Taekwon-do-er, fashion fiend and vegetarian from the beautiful south coast of Ireland, though I study full-time in Dublin. Last year I packed up my life in the Irish capital and moved everything to Vienna for the year for some learning, exploration, growing-up and, I suppose, ‘finding myself.’
I’m a normal person. I don’t endeavor to pretend my life is something fantastical and inaccessible to the average person. I’m a worrier and a flusterer and have days where I feel like staying in bed all day, as everybody does. But I do things that I like and I try to find happy things to fill my days, and then I write about them.
I do hope you enjoy my little updates, anecdotes and thoughts. If you do, please feel free to comment or get in touch.
Hurrah!

Thanks for following me too 🙂 I loved learning languages during highschool because my teacher (the same for German and French) was like a hippier version of Professor Snape and despite being quite scary at times made a real impact on me. I loved his classes so much that I decided to keep up languages in college because I didn’t know what else I should do, so I chose German and French with Economics and Archaeology as extra subjects. And of course it’s an excuse to travel around and practise 🙂 Do you speak any other languages?

I did take Spanish, French and Greek in 8th-9th grade but I’ve lost most of what I learned. Since becoming a “grown up” I started learning Welsh which I continue. I’m not quite sure why Welsh is fascinating to me, other than that it’s the country I most want to see and being that it’s not a widespread language I feel it has a uniqueness to it 🙂

Ooh how interesting! My mum’s fiance is actually Welsh and his dad speaks it! Such a funny language – I can safely say I don’t understand one word!
