Introducing one of my favourite people in the whole world, Lucy, who landed yesterday afternoon in sunny sunny Vienna (literally – it’s 18 degrees at the moment. An Irish summer!)
Lucy (Lulu) and I met when we were 14 and somewhat socially awkward, with not much in common other than a complete lack in coordination on the hockey field and a penchant for coloured eyeliner. She, in fact, is the person who first introduced me to Happy Lists (during one particularly slow German class) along with other such gems as how to make a Microwave Mug Cake and how to ensure my lipstick doesn’t spread all over my cheeks when I laugh (still trying to master that one).
Since then we’ve graduated school together, moved from little seaside Kinsale to the big city, raised a rescue dog (with the rest of the crew at Kenilworth Square) and consumed approximately 4’000 pancakes.
And here we are, eight years later, touring the streets of Vienna. Three charming days of falafel, mountain hikes and Glühwein-infused mischief. A wonderful way to ring in the winter season!
Until next time,
